During a debate in the European Parliament on the murder of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Zarzalejos accuses Bildu's Barrena of refusing to condemn ETA killings of journalists

PP member Javier Zarzalejos this morning criticised Bildu MEP Pernando Barrena for refusing once again to condemn the murders of the terrorist group ETA.

The plenary session of the European Parliament today discussed the circumstances of the 2017 murder of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia and the investigation into it.

Following Parrena's speech, Javier Zarzalejos took the floor to recall ETA's attacks on journalists and the media - including 4 murders and one attempted murder - and criticised the fact that Parrena "has not condemned any of them and not only has he not condemned them, but he has justified them and supported them".

"You have the opportunity to say here today, before talking about freedom of expression, as you are doing, whether you condemn all the crimes of ETA, including of course those directed against journalists and media", Javier Zarzalejos also told the Bildu MEP, who again refused to make any condemnation of ETA.
